AI Bei is an NHMRC Health Professional Research Fellow and Clinical Psychologist specialising in sleep and perinatal mental health. She leads an independent and growing research team in sleep and mental health, co-located at Monash University, home to one of world’s strongest sleep and circadian rhythm research groups, and the Royal Women’s Hospital, Australia’s largest specialist maternity hospital. She is the Research Leader of an innovative insomnia service, the Monash University Healthy Sleep Clinic, and served on the Scientific Review Committee of Sleep Research Society (USA), to oversee the Society’s grant programs, and co-Chair of the Insomnia and Sleep Health Council (ASA). Her fast-growing international standing is further evident in her leadership of an international consortium consisting of world’s top insomnia researchers to better understand treatment mechanisms of insomnia.
